    2. 75th Anniversary: On track. Note Service Project mentioned above. POC: Tonya
    3. Cross Over - Arrow of Light: Was 22 April at the Pack Meeting. Recommendation for next year that boys be brought to the forefront and announce names of scouts who graduate.
    4. Cubmaster: Comments in various other places.
  5. New Business:
    1. Cub Scout Residence Camp June 22-24: Initial Registration deadline is Friday 13 May before noon with Ricky Corbin (give him name, shirt sizes and volunteer information). If you have the FOS discount (20%) you would pay $76 (95-19) per child. Adults are $35. Camp will be at Camp Humphreys, a bus will depart Wed AM and return Friday. Go to our web site to download application forms and drop off with Pete (may be able to drop off at camp). 3 volunteers are required for shooting, crafts, and scout skills (POC Tonya). More info to follow.
    2. Scout Sign-up Opportunity: 17-20 May is school registration at the SAHS Gym. Pete will staff a recruiting table.
    3. May Pack Meeting: 20 May 1900 at the SAES Cafeteria. Setup: Den 10, Gathering: Den 1, Opening: Den 3, PROGRAM (Den Skits, Den Demo etc.): Den 7, Recognition: Leaders, Closing: Den 8, Break Down: Den 9. There will be a neckerchief exchange bin where boys will drop old ones to get their new ones at the Picnic. POC: Ricky.
    4. Our Sponsors on 29 May are hosting an event at Collier Field. They would appreciate our support and we will be having a Scout sign-up booth there. POC: Ricky.
    5. Pack 89 Picnic 11 June 1100-1400, Picnic Areas 1 and 2 (MP Hill). "Gonna-be Tigers" are invited. There will be a Cub-led Bridging Ceremony and Tigers need to produce a bridge prop for crossover. Recycled neckerchiefs will be used. Please bring pot-luck side dishes. POC: Marc.
    6. Summertime Activities Tonya has organized a swim for July and a Rain-gutter Regatta for August. Combining these events with the Resident Camp in June will allow boys to earn the Summertime Pack award. POC: Tonya.
  6. Open Forum:
    1. Pack 89 Web Page: Rich discussed the status of the web site:  Owned by Ken Green who has moved on (annual fee currently paid but may be discontinued at his discretion), suggested that the Pack pay for own site and be managed by one person. Desire for web site to be one-stop shopping: all info pertaining to the Pack should be available there.   Suggest an "intro to scouting" (an A-Z for scouting and FAQ) area with everything a new scout in Korea would need to know.  Don't forget that we have a valuable resource in our Boy Scouts, many of them are very computer savvy.  Another comment was that District is making a new web site and if we stay in contact with them we may be able to get a site through them or a link to our site.
    2. District Award Picnic was April 2nd. Several of our leaders received awards including Tonya and Mike, and Ned who received the District Award of Merit.
    3. Pre-Fall Round-up: Jo thinks it would be a good idea to get publicity started for the 2005/6 Scouting year. A rough update of leadership positions was done. At this point we have one name for each Den level from Tigers through Webelos II ((Jo later confirmed Tom Castle as Tigers, but Roger Clark is not confirmed for Wolves)). The 2005/6 Round-up flier, Committee Structure and Den Structure are attached to and become a part of these minutes.
    4. Popcorn Sale: November 11- December 15th, Pack 89 will be participating. We need a Pack 89 POC who will coordinate, decide which type to buy, order and organize sellers. This can be a major fund-raiser, especially so near the Christmas time-frame. Please consider volunteering.
    5. Bus Requests: for 2005/6 must be in to Pete by July 2005. So if you will need a bus for an event (like the Task Force Smith Trail or Resident Camp), get your requests in.
  7. Closing: There being no further business Ned thanked everyone for their coming and for their dedication to the Cub Scouts and Pack 89. The next pack meeting is 20 May. The next leader meeting is 4 June. This meeting was concluded at 1246.

Jo Morris
Secretary Pack 89 Committee
